Passionate family lawyer
I never intended to be a family lawyer but now I can’t imagine myself in any other area of law.
I worked as a Law Clerk whilst at University in a small suburban law firm and it was there I fell in love with the human side of law. I love to help others and naturally family law suited my personality. I was trained by a senior family lawyer who taught me to think outside of the box. He gave me the freedom to test boundaries and learn from my mistakes. Ultimately, I knew I would one day have my own firm practicing law my way.
I opened Mandurah Legal in 2015 after the birth of my son. My husband and I threw our savings into the fitout and I sat by the phone each day waiting for it to ring. It has taken hard work and dedication to build the firm in to the reputable and highly sought after firm it is today.
Mother/Wife/Queen of juggling
I am a realist. My approach to law is the same as my approach to life – straight to the point and get it done. This fares well with clients who want to know the reality of their situation, what they can expect and how they can reach an outcome in their best interest. I love working with clients to ensure they understand the potential outcomes and the ways they can reach those outcomes. I empower my clients with knowledge to enable them to make a decision best for them and their family.
Why Mandurah Legal?
Everyone has a why and mine sits close to my heart. I come from a working class family where lawyers were thought of as scary people who charge like a wounded bull. When my mother passed away when I was 18 years of age I watched my father try to navigate a legal system. He was blinded by grief and lost in the process. I knew there had to be a better way to provide legal services and so Mandurah Legal was created focusing on communication, transparency and my favourite value ‘simplicity’.
